Jennifer Davies Joins AXIS as Active Underwriter for Lloyd’s Syndicate 1686
PEMBROKE, Bermuda, July 30, 2026—AXIS Capital Holdings Limited (“AXIS Capital” or “AXIS” or the “Company”) (NYSE: AXS), today announced the appointment of Jennifer Davies as Active Underwriter for AXIS Syndicate 1686.
Ms. Davies will be responsible for overseeing all underwriting and related business activities of Syndicate 1686, succeeding Toby Read. She will report to Mr. Read who retains his role as Chief Underwriting Officer for AXIS Managing Agency and continues as a member of the AXIS Global Markets leadership team.
Ms. Davies brings 25 years of experience in specialty underwriting and leadership to AXIS, joining from Munich Re Syndicate where she most recently served as Deputy Active Underwriter.
Beginning her insurance career in 2001 at Watkins Syndicate, owned by Munich Re, Ms. Davies then joined Chaucer Syndicate in Singapore. She returned to Munich Re in 2011 where she held underwriting and management roles in Singapore and London.
